AYAA TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. Set up in 2006, which mainly design and produce PCM for Li-ion/Li-polymer/Lifepo4 battery pack. In Ayaatech, there are more than 500 types of professional PCM/BMS with various discharge current for your selection.

We possess powerful production lineup and rich production strength.

These PCM have special features such as short circuit protection, over current protection, over discharge protection etc, working as loyal protector, serve the Li-polymer/Li-ion/ Lifepo4 battery pack. With almost 10 years` Endeavors and persistence, Ayaatech`s PCM has won great reputation in Europe for its reliable quality, “7 days” short lead time and reasonable price.

In 2009, Ayaatech started to produce the customized Li-polymer/Li-ion/Lifepo4 battery pack in order to provide one --stop power solution to customers.We can provide certificates as follows: UN38.3, MSDS and CB report, which applied to E-bike, E-wheel chair, medical instrument, lighting devices, etc.

In 2014, Ayaatech successfully developed new products, UPS portable power bank. We can provide the on-line UPS power 300W, 500W, and off-line UPS power 100W, 300W, 500W, 1000W, 1500W. They are applied to a variety of products such as mobile phone, digital cameras, laptop computers, car boot, outdoor lighting, which can be used for the following field such as first aid, mining, tourism, disaster relief, medical aid, etc. They gradually have been sold into China domestic market and also have been exported to Europe, Asia.

  1. 1. BMS/PCM

    Q:What is PCM? Detail function?

    A: PCM or PCB ( protection circuit module or board ) is "heart" of Li-Ion battery pack. It will protect Li-Ion battery pack from overcharging, over-discharging and over-drain, therefore it is must have to avoid Li-Ion battery pack from exploding, firing and damage. For > 5 cells or 18.5V Li-Ion pack, you shall choose PCM with equilibrium function to keep each cell in better balance and good service life. For high voltage Li-Ion pack ( > 20 cell), you shall consider advanced BMS ( battery manage system) to monitor each cell's performance to ensure battery safer operation.

    Q:What is BMS? Detail function?

    A:A battery management system (BMS) is any electronic system that manages a rechargeable battery (cell or battery pack), such as by monitoring its state, calculating secondary data, reporting that data, protecting the battery, controlling its environment, or balancing it. A BMS may monitor the state of the battery as represented by various items, such as:

    • Voltage: total voltage, or voltages of individual cells
    • Temperature: average temperature, or temperatures of individual cells
    • State of charge (SOC) or depth of discharge (DOD): to indicate the charge level of the battery
    • State of health (SOH), a variously-defined measurement of the overall condition of the battery
    • Current: current in or out of the battery

    2. Charger

    Q: I would like to know if I could have the battery constantly connected to an active charger (For example your xx) while drawing power from the charge to power the circuits meant to be powered by the battery. I would like to use your smart Charger as a power supply, could I ?

    A: A charger works differently than an adapter. A charger once detect the battery is full, it will stop output any charging current. The only way to have the charger charging again is by physically disconnect the charger from the battery and reconnect to reset the charger. Otherwise, there is no charging current and it could also cause reverse current flow and drain your battery.

  2. 3. Battery pack

    Q: How to select the correct battery pack (General Knowledge)?


    First of all, you must get to know your device:

    • What is device's input voltage (V)?
    • What is its power consumption (Wattage)?
    • What is Maximum current drain (A)?
    • What is your expected running time by a battery pack ?

    Decide battery pack voltage you will choose

    • Battery pack voltage must be equal or a little higher than your device’s need.
    • If you need a exact voltage, which battery pack can not provide, you may consider to use a DC-DC regulator

    Decide Battery pack's Capacity (mAh or Ah)

    Battery capacity is depended on how long you need to run your device ( hours ), which can be calculated as the follow:

    (Ah) = Device's Wattage (W) x Time to run (Hours) / Battery Voltage (V)

    For example, if using a 12V battery pack, and run 10W DC device for 10 hours, you need choose a battery pack with capacity > 8.3Ah, e.g

    (10x10)/12 = 8.3

    1000 mAh = Ah, higher mAh will provide longer running time.

    Decide Battery pack’s Max. discharging current

    • Before order battery pack, you must pay attention on battery pack’s Max. discharging rating on the specification or description. Please don’t think any battery can take any current drain.
    • You shall know your device’s max. discharging current. If you don’t know , you must measure it by a multi-meter.
    • The battery pack’s Max. discharging rate of the chosen Battery must be higher than that device requires
  3. Choose Li-Ion, NiMH or Lead acid battery?

    All types of rechargeable battery will work for you. Question is size and weight. The table below lists the advantages and disadvantages of these batteries for your reference

    Li-Ion batteries has the highest energy density ( mAh/weight), and become more and more popular. However, Li-Ion may explode and cause a fire if it dose not use properly..

    In current stage, we always suggest customer to use NiMH battery pack for high current application ( < 1C rate ), not Li-Ion , because Li-ion ‘s protection in high current application still is not matured yet

    Choose a Battery Charger

    • Please always follow our suggestion to choose a smart charger. So called smart charger must has automatic power cut-off function when battery is full.
    • Never use NiMH battery charger for Li-ion battery pack, it will cause battery exploded
    • Always charging your battery with attention, and put battery in a fire-proof container ox box to avoid any accident.

    4. Solar Power / Batteries

    Q: I am trying to charge my battery through Solar Panel. If the battery pack already has the PCB/PCM protection, do I still need the solar charger controller ?

    A: Yes, you do need the solar charger controller since it will regulate the voltage from solar panel for your battery pack.

    Q: If I want to solar charge LiFePO4/Lithium Ion battery, which already has PCB, would a normal SLA controller work fine?

    A: For LiFePO4 / Lithium Ion battery, we always recommend to use LiFePO4/Lithium Ion solar controller. Especially if you are using the battery as UPS (back up power supply). The Lead Acid solar controller will constantly provide pulse current to the battery, in the long run, it might damage the PCB. So the PCB won't be able to protect the battery when it should be.

    The LiFePO4 / Lithium Ion solar controller won't provide constant current when the battery is fully charged. So it is much safer and reliable.
